The Phoenix is an oral teaching which is past down from the ancestors of Native Peoples of North America. (Turtle Island) This is a story about true transformation and healing. A freedom gained after great hardship and hurts which we all have experienced, no one is unique without grief and disappointments. We must surrender of our pain to Creator. The word forgiveness is not palatable for many; it lends to an approval of wrongs. What must transpire for our own best interest is a release, a surrender and a letting go. It may help to see the hurt in others and recognize the brokenness in those who harmed you, which may create compassion.
The Phoenix teaches us how to love anew with full potential, possibilities and passion. The fire bird represents a new resurrection of you and how to travel upon your own path with a whole new heart. My Elder, taught, “the longest road traveled is from our head to our heart. Our freedom awaits. Renewal and brilliance arise from the ashes. We are all like gold refined through the fire.
